Continuing Education (CE) Credits

The Tribal Law and Policy Institute (TLPI) is a co-sponsor of the 10th Annual Tribal Healing to Wellness Court Enhancement Training. This event is pending approval for CLE and CE credits with the State Bar of California and California Association of DUI Treatment Programs (CADTP). Please refer to the conference website, Enhancement Training, for additional continuing education credit information. 

The deadline to submit your documentation to TLPI for processing is October 31, 2020. After this date, CLE and CE credit records will no longer be made available. 

  • If you were unable to participate during a particular session, a recording will be posted by Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

  • All workshops, materials, and session information will be available on this virtual platform until 5:00pm PST on Friday, October 9, 2020.

  • After October 9, 2020, you can view the information at Enhancement Training and at Tribal Healing to Wellness Courts websites.



Substance Use Disorder
The Tribal Law and Policy Institute is approved Provider #192 by the California Association of DUI Treatment Programs to sponsor continuing education for Alcohol and Other Drug Counselors certified by CADTP. The Tribal Law and Policy Institute maintains responsibility for this training and its content. Not all sessions may be approved for Substance Use Disorder credit. The Tribal Law and Policy Institute will notify participants of any non-approved sessions.

The training offers a total of 16.25 hours as follows:


  • Monday, September 28, 2020 – 3.75 hours

  • Tuesday, September 29, 2020 – 2.50 hours

  • Wednesday, September 30, 2020 – 3.75 hours

  • Thursday, October 1, 2020 – 3.75 hours

  • Friday, October 2, 2020 – 2.50 hours

Who Should Attend: Psychologists, social workers, counselors, marriage/family therapists, mental health professionals, nurses, Native American advocates, and all allied health professionals who work with Native Americans.

Course Completion: Continuing education credit is awarded on a session-by-session basis with full attendance required for each session attended. Partial session credit is not offered. To qualify to receive continuing education credit, attendees must complete the following CE materials and sign in for each virtual session attended. CE verification is mailed to attendees following the Colloquium.

Skills Level: Scheduled sessions are open to all training registrants. Sessions have not been ranked according to skill level, due to the interdisciplinary nature of this event. Registrants are urged to review the training descriptions to determine appropriateness for personal and professional goals.

Non-Credit Sessions: Continuing education credit is not offered for breakfast, luncheon, dinner, reception events; poster sessions, board meetings, networking sessions, and/or advocacy meetings. If you have questions regarding events for which continuing education is offered, please contact TLPI.

Commercial Support: The Tribal Law and Policy Institute receives no funds from any commercial organization for financial support of its activities in providing continuing education sponsorship of the Colloquium. TLPI’s sponsorship of this training does not imply endorsement of featured exhibits.

Note: It is the responsibility of attendees to determine if continuing education credit offered by TLPI meets the regulations of their licensing/certification board.
